Last week, HTC promised us that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the GPE One M8 and M7 will be coming earlier this week. Sadly, due to some bugs, the update is pushed to this Friday.
HTCC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, has responded on Twitter to answer those burning questions regarding the latest Lollipop development for the company’s GPE devices. IF everything goes well, the OTA update will roll out in just about 48 hours, so let’s just hope it comes true.
On the other hand, regular, non-GPE One M8 and M7 owners are still expecting to get news on the development of the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update for their devices. HTC promised that the update will arrive within 90 days since Lollipop is released. Both are listed on HTC’s website as being the initial stage of development.
Other HTC devices that may get the Lollipop update include the One Mini 2 and the original One Mini, though they are still under consideration.
